On Tuesday, February 26 the Little Rock Zoo will be hosting 100+ students for a new hackathon called “Zoo EXCEL-athon”. LRSD’s EXCEL students will be competing to develop a technology related solution to a conservation problem with awards going to the top three teams. The event planning team even includes EXCEL teacher cadets (students from LRSD high schools)! Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. will be providing opening remarks followed by Superintendent Michael Poore with additional special guests also in attendance.
