This 2-day workshop will focus on the biomass energy market and how Arkansas timber is being grown to feed the global wood pellet demand. Topics include an overview of biomass energy, sustainable forestry practices, benefits of forest certification, economic impacts of biomass markets, plus a tour of the Highland Pellet Mill and industrial and private forestland tours to view sustainable forestry practices in action. This session qualifies for 12 hours of ADE-approved PD.
