Dear *New* or Former Science Fair Teachers/Sponsors,
Do you want to start a science fair this year or just interested in learning about how to start one?
The UA STEM Center will be hosting Soybean Science Coordinator Diedre Young, who will show you how to start a science fair in your school, how to do science fair in the classroom as part of your project based NGSS aligned learning, and how to navigate all those confusing ISEF forms for the regional and state science fair.
Mrs. Young is a 20 veteran science teacher with two science fair startups under her belt, plus in the last eight years of her teaching, took students to ISEF for six times! She will hand out templates for you to use to make your start up easier and stress-free.
She will also explain the Soybean Science Challenge and the awards that are given out at the regional and state science fairs.
A 2.5 ADE Approved Hour Certificate will be given to all who attend.
The following counties are covered by the Intel ISEF-affiliated NWARSEF: Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Crawford, Faulkner, Franklin, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Newton, Scott, Searcy, Sebastian, and Washington
