Nature journaling in the classroom supports lessons in both literacy and science. Observation, writing, sketching, data collection, sequencing, and reflection are a few of the many useful skills students may use while journaling. This workshop will demonstrate the use of Project Learning Tree activities to improve and enhance nature journaling skills. This will be an interactive workshop conducted both indoors and outside. In addition to workshop activities, hands-on crafts, and lesson plans – participants will receive professional instruction on topics including nature photography and basic journal sketching.
Join us for this fun and educational 2-day retreat and learn how to implement nature journaling activities into your own classroom, camp, or educational programs.
