Math Focus Weekend
Friday, November 30th and Saturday, December 1st
As an Arkansas high school sophomore (with at least a 3.25 GPA), you’re invited to stay overnight in the ASMSA Student Center in Hot Springs as a guest of one of our student Community Leaders.
Only prospective students will be allowed to stay overnight on campus.Family members will need to make their own arrangements.
Make plans to arrive by 6pm on Friday and stay through breakfast on Saturday morning. Should you need to make other accomodations, please contact Valerie Carpenter in admissions at [email protected] or 501-622-5116.
Students will start their Saturday with a two-hour math activity hosted by faculty member Nikki Kennedy (from 9-11am) before meeting up with their family members for an admissions presentation, campus tour, and lunch in the ASMSA Dophin Bay Cafe. Lunch will be provided at no cost to all family members.
All activities are scheduled to conclude by 1 pm.
Qualifications: You must currently be a sophomore in an Arkansas high school, have at least a 3.25 GPA, and sign up for only 1 focus weekend.
What to bring:

There is no charge to attend, but space is limited!

Follow these steps to get registered:
Step 1: Reserve a Male or Female Student ticket for your sophomore (which covers Friday and Saturday activities).
Step 2: Reserve a Family Member ticket for every member of your family that will be attending on Saturday so that we can get a good count for lunch.
Step 3: Fill in the blanks (as prompted) that are required for each ticket member.
Step 4: Check the emailed ticket confirmation you’ll receive for accuracy.
Step 5: Complete the Overnight Permission Form, Permission to Treat Form, and the Rules in Brief Form in the links below and bring with you on November 30th. You may scan in the completed forms and email it back to [email protected].
