AR AIMS (The Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science) will be holding its AP Math Fall Workshop virtually, via Zoom, October 4th and 5th from 8:30 until 3:45 each day. We are devastated to have to move this to a virtual format, after initially planning for it to be a face-to-face event, but the safety of our attendees, staff, and presenters is a top priority.
Two of the top College Board consultants in Statistics and Calculus will present resources and strategies that will increase classroom engagement and rigor, as well as help to prepare students for their AP Math exams. Mark Kiraly, who has created many of the AP Daily and AP live videos, will present to our Calculus teachers and Doug Tyson, the creator of many of your favoriteAP Statistics activities (like Smelling Parkinson’s), will present to our Statistics teachers. Both have lots of experience teaching virtually, and I know they will be fun and engaging events (even if we can’t all be together.)
