Historically Black Colleges and Universities have been educating Black and African American students in STEM fields as part of their mission for well over a century. In order to provide students with opportunities commensurate with their Predominantly White Institution and other Minority Serving Institution counterparts, investment from corporate employers in the form of work-based learning and research opportunities is critical to ensure that students graduating have requisite skills to participate in the STEM workforce.
