Hello everyone.  We are doing something a little different this summer that I think is going to be a great opportunity for teachers and students.  We are going to do a Vex IQ summer camp (for students entering grades 4-8) and a teacher training that will run alongside the camp.  Basically, as the students learn, the teachers will be learning too.  This will give teachers a chance to see the instruction in action with real students, as well as see how to trouble shoot and guide students through building, coding and competing with Vex IQ. On day one, we will build robots and work on engineering notebooks. Day two will be driver controlled and autonomous (coding) skill development with more engineering, and day three will be focused on competition. We will be using the new 2019-20 challenge called “Squared Away”, so teachers and students will get a head-start on what the competition looks like next school year.  We really think that this hands on learning opportunity for teachers will help prepare them to facilitate a robotics class and/or competition teams. Depending on your needs, you can register as a participant only, or pay extra to receive materials (robot, arena and/or 2019-20 challenge set). I am attaching fliers for these opportunities.  There will be a camp in Hot Springs on July 10-12 and on in Arkadelphia on July 24-26. The fliers are labeled according to location.
