On October 6
from 11-noon, we will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a groundbreaking (or, more accurately, ground leaving) guest for a student workshop. Please join us for an open dialogue with Dr. Ellen Ochoa, the first ever Hispanic female astronaut. After
receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in physics and both her masters’ and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering, she was selected by NASA to become an astronaut in 1990. Since then, she has been on four space flights and logged more than 950 hours
in space. If you have colleagues that you believe may be interested in registering their class, please pass along this opportunity. Registration is available for 9th-12th grade classes at https://calendly.com/
