Join Dr. Tamara Walkingstick in one of Arkansas’s beautiful Arkansas State Parks to learn about wild edible vegetation and earn ADE-approved professional development credit.
During this 4-hour workshop attendees will participate in identifying some edible species of Arkansas native and non-native vegetation, prepare food from wild ingredients, and sample tasty dishes including acorn scones. The presentation covers concepts of conservation, history, culture, and plant identification. 30 pages of wild edible recipes are included as well.
