Join Jamaal Williams of PEAR: Partnerships in Education and Resilience for an incredible conversation about belonging. The key features of Belonging are relationships, acceptance, and identity and all three of those things are interconnected. We can use those three features to interrogate what belonging looks like in our learning spaces and how we can foster it. STEM learning provides unique conditions for fostering belonging (ex: collaborative work and exploration, STEM practices that center learning from peers, exposure to STEM professionals who claim the identities our youth claim).
