Join Project Learning Tree (PLT) on June 16, 2021 between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM at the Petit Jean State Park for the PLT Nature Journaling Workshop. The cost is $15 per participant and the event qualifies for six hours of ADE-approved PD and Arkansas PDR credit. Participants must stay for the full training in order to receive the curriculum guides and credit hours. Space is limited.
Getting kids outside is essential these days and nature journaling is a great way to get and keep kids engaged. Nature journaling supports lessons in both literacy and science. Observation, writing, sketching, data collection, sequencing, and reflection are a few of the many useful skills students may use while journaling. This workshop will demonstrate the use of Project Learning Tree activities to improve and enhance nature journaling skills. This will be an interactive workshop conducted both indoors and outdoors and include activities, hands-on crafts, and lesson plans.
Join PLT for this fun and educational day and learn how to implement nature journaling into your own classroom, camps, and educational programs. Please bring a sack lunch, or bear in mind that Mather Lodge Restaurant will be open at this time as well.
