The Arkansas STEM Coalition is partnering with Girls Who Code!
Girls Who Code brings free computer science activities to girls across our communities. Classrooms, after school clubs and other programs are invited to host a Girls Who Code club. Programs can be for girls in 3rd-5th grade or 6th – 12th grade.
When you start a Club, Girls Who Code provides free and flexible curriculum, resources, and a mini-grant of $300 if you have 3+ students enrolled in your Club. All you need is space to host the Club, computers and internet, and an adult who is 18+ to help facilitate the Club. Clubs are led by Facilitators, who can be teachers, computer scientists, librarians, parents, or volunteers from any background or field. Many Facilitators have NO technical experience and learn to code alongside their Club members.
Ready to join the movement? Complete a Clubs application here! As a Girls Who Code Community Partner, any Clubs in our network are eligible to receive additional partnership benefits by indicating Arkansas STEM Coalition on the Clubs Application!

Girls Who Code Clubs are FREE programs for 3rd-5th or 6th-12th grade girls to join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models and use computer science to change the world. Girls Who Code has already reached 185,000 students across the U.S. and Canada to help girls unlock their bravery, resilience, purpose and creativity as they learn how to use computer science to impact their community. You can join the movement to increase gender parity in tech by starting your own Girls Who Code Club in your community. The Girls Who Code website can be found here.
