This full-time position includes teaching courses in Mathematics, serving as an advisor to a small group of Middle School students, and taking an active role in the life of the School. The teaching assignment for this position primarily includes but is not necessarily limited to courses in Algebra I, Advanced Algebra 1, and one senior level math course.
Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for designing and implementing authentic, hands-on math experiences that support the school’s math curriculum, strong pedagogical skills in mathematics education, devotion to ongoing professional development, dedication to differentiated instruction and assessment, and a commitment to participating collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the overall well-being of the School. Preference will be given to candidates with significant teaching experience; with graduate degrees in mathematics, mathematics education, or related fields; with a willingness to engage in extra- and co-curricular activities and athletics, and/or with experience serving as a Reader for the Advanced Placement examinations in mathematics.
