June 4th & 5th
This is a two day workshop that explores rock types, fossils, structures, and weathering processes in the Arkansas River Valley. On the first day, we travel to Mt. Nebo State Park and conclude in the afternoon with a visit Petit Jean State Park. The second day includes instruction & activities to support the topics seen in the field. Presented with Arkansas Geological Survey. Moderate physical activity will be required for the field visits. Transportation will be provided from ATU to each location.
